This Cookie Policy describes how Know Company, Inc. (together with our affiliates and subsidiaries, “Know Company”) uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with our website located at www.Know Company.com, and any other websites or digital properties that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Site”).

If you have additional questions, please contact us at privacy@Know Company.com.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a text file that websites store on a visitor’s device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser.  It serves a variety of functions, like enabling us to remember certain information you provide to us as you navigate between pages on the Site.

Why do we use cookies and similar technologies?

We use first party and third party cookies for several reasons, such as:

  • letting you navigate between pages efficiently,
  • remembering your preferences,
  • remembering your username and password,
  • letting us analyze how well our website is performing, and
  • improving your experience.

Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Site to operate.  Other cookies enable us and the third parties we work with to track and target the interests of visitors to our Site.  For example, we use cookies to tailor content and information that we may send or display to you and otherwise personalize your experience while interacting with our Site and to otherwise improve the functionality of the services we provide.  Finally, third parties serve cookies through our Site for advertising, analytics, and other purposes.  This is described in more detail below.

What cookies do we use?

Necessary Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.

Performance/Analytics Cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our site, and will not be able to monitor its performance.

Advertising Cookies

These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by these companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant ads on other sites. They do not store directly personal information but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

Other Technologies We Use & Your Choices

In addition to cookies, our Site may use other technologies, such as pixel tags, to collect information. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information and additional details about your choices related to cookies and these other technologies.

Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.  Please re-visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.  The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.

Know Company must also disclose whether we disclose Personal Information for a “business purpose” or for “valuable consideration” as those terms are defined under the CCPA. The CCPA also calls this latter category a “sale.” Like many companies online, Know Company uses services provided by Google and other partners that track website visitor activity to help deliver interest-based ads to those visitors. Our use of some of these services may be classified under California law as a “sale” of your Personal Information to the companies that provide the services because they collect Internet or Network Activity information from our users (e.g., device data and online activity data) to help them serve ads more likely to interest you. Please see the “Your Choices” section, above, for more information regarding interest-based advertising. If Know Company processes Personal Information of California consumers for or on behalf of a third party organization such as a client, we will obtain consent from that organization prior to processing.
